Replacing a Pet Stop Collar Battery
Unlike some brands, they are very simple to replace. The receiver’s battery duration depends on how often your dog or cat challenges their boundary, and can last anywhere from three months to one year. The patented Flash Alert feature will always remind you when your pet’s battery needs replacing. We offer two options for the Pet Stop UltraMax dog collar receiver. A175 is an Alkaline Battery; whereas S175 is a Silver Oxide Battery.

What's the Difference Between Silver Oxide and Alkaline?
Well, Silver Oxide batteries often have a higher energy density and have the ability to put out a high current for their size. These batteries typically last longer than their alkaline counterparts. Most common batteries are Alkaline. They have a shorter shelf life compared to silver oxide batteries, but they still last pretty long. They are cheaper to make (hence the smaller cost). The biggest problem with Alkaline batteries is that they could potentially leak and cause corrosion.
