The STMicroelectronics M4T32-BR12SH1 is a compact SNAPHAT top module combining a 2.8 V lithium back-up battery (120 mAh) and a 32.768 kHz timing crystal in a single easy-to-install package. Designed for use on ST’s TIMEKEEPER 28- or 44-pin SOIC devices, the module snaps on after the main PCB reflow process, thereby avoiding thermal stress on the battery and crystal. This dual-component design ensures continued time-keeping and non-volatile data retention in industrial, telecom or precision embedded systems even during board power loss. 


With high precision timing (±35 ppm) and low standby power consumption, the M4T32-BR12SH1 is ideal for applications where reliable real-time clocks and memory backing are required.
