Small to medium-sized renewable energy systems will benefit from the MidNite KID 30 A MPPT charge controllers. The KID operates with 12, 24, 36, and 48 VDC battery systems and has a 150 VDC operating limit; however, due to MidNite's HyperVOC circuitry, it is not damaged by DC voltages as high as 162 VDC. The KID has a three-LED bar graph that shows battery charge status, as well as a keypad that allows you to access a wide range of menu items and set-points. Load control with load low-voltage disconnect is included in the KID controllers (LVD). This can also be used as a lighting controller, with dusk-to-dawn or other on/off times programmed in. A programmable AUX relay is also included.

It's suitable for use in harsh environments because of its enclosed circuitry and passive cooling (no fans). Breakers for input, battery, and load are located on the front panel. The controller's operating temperature range is -40°C to +50°C, but at temperatures above 25°C, it will automatically de-rate. To these versions, add the battery-temperature sensor (BTS).

For the United States and Canada, ETL listed to UL1741 and UL458. CE Accepted. Compliant with FCC Class B. The indoor NEMA 1 (IP64) rating is 9.25"L x 5"H (6.6"H with wall-mount adapter) x 3.4"D. Casing is available in either white or black. The product is made in the United States and comes with a two-year warranty.

The MNKID-M Marine version includes the MNKID-M-BKT Boat Mounting Bracket, flexible conduit, a battery temperature sensor, and extra conformal coating as standard features.
