• The heating strips will operate in any ambient temperature as long as there is a SoC. It will be pertinent in certain scenarios to have a generator or grid connection to make sure the batteries can always maintain a SoC in cold temps.
• In a dark start scenario, however, the temp needs to be at least at -25° C/-13° F to get the heating strips to activate once a charge current is sent so the modules can be brought to temp and charge. This is something we can address with a firmware update to allow the heating strips to activate in even lower temperatures in a dark start scenario.
• The heating strips will use on average 12-15% of the system's SoC over a 24 hr period. Each module has a heating strip with a 150W draw.
• In a dark start scenario, priority is given to the heating strips first before the modules start charging
