R/C Car Batteries
Love driving your RC car but you always tend to run out of power? Well, we have many different batteries that can improve your RC vehicle performance as well as increase the fun you have before you need to recharge your battery.
Where do I begin? What kind of battery should I choose?
Please check your manual to see what kind of battery is the most ideal for your remote control car. Ni-CD batteries last the shortest amount of time and need to be recharged often (but you get more charge cycles). Ni-MH batteries may cost more, however have no memory effect, they last longer due to a higher capacity, hold a longer charge, and they contain no toxic chemicals that are harmful. However, you won't get as many cycles for some Ni-MH batteries. Li-Ion has a very high energy/mass, meaning it is a light weight battery that will store a lot of energy with no memory effect. Li-Poly is similar to Li-Ion but with slightly less energy/mass. This battery type can be shaped according to need, such as ultra-thin.
In general, the higher the ampere-hour rating, the longer the battery will last for a certain load. Installing batteries with different A·h ratings will not affect the operation of a device rated for a specific voltage. Still, it is always a good idea to check the manual or manufacturer to see if it is okay to make a change to the type of replacement battery you choose for your remote control vehicle.
