What is your Shipping Policy?

BatteriesInAFlash.com™ makes every effort to get your order to you IN A FLASH™. In-stock items are generally shipped within 24-48 hours. Please note: orders made after 1:00pm PST (Pacific Standard Time) will be entered the next day. Weekend orders (from Friday after 1:00pm PST) will be processed the following Monday, excluding extended holidays. If there is a problem with your order you will receive an e-mail within 24-48 hours to advise you about the situation.

Shipping Method (Domestic):

We ship via USPS, UPS and FedEx. You have the option of choosing which carrier you prefer in our "Shopping Cart". Your product(s) will be shipped to the designated Shipping Address you assigned when you registered on our website. Shipping fees are dependent on where you are located, what type of service you select, and the weight of the product in your order.

Shipping Method (International):

We ship via USPS, UPS and FedEx International. You have the option of choosing which carrier you prefer in our "Shopping Cart". BatteriesInAFlash.com™ reserves the right to change carriers and services at any time due to changing shipment restrictions on certain battery chemistries and quantities. Your product will be shipped to the designated Shipping Address you entered when you registered on our website. A shipping ZONE is assigned at the time you register, and is used for calculating shipping to your country. The Shipping Calculator will automatically determine the shipping cost based on your ZONE. International shipping fees are dependent on where you are located, what type of service you select, and the weight of the product in your order.

Shipping Charges and Taxes:

Shipping charges are not included in our pricing. Please place your order in the "Shopping Cart" to view the shipping charges. You can get the exact amount by entering the items into the shopping cart. Nevada sales tax of 8.1% will apply to orders shipped to an address in the state of Nevada.

Shipping Flooded Lead Acid (Wet Cell) Batteries:

We cannot ship flooded lead acid batteries via FedEx or UPS.

All advertised prices are taking into exchange a core at time of purchase. A core deposit or monetary charge is required on all flooded lead acid (wet) cell batteries including but not limited to, Centennial, Trojan, Odyssey, Optima brand batteries. The core deposit is a 1-1 exchange for the same core class. If a core deposit is not possible then the following core fees will be requested prior to processing your order. Will-call pickup locations outside the state of Nevada may also be subject to core fees prior to processing an order.

NOTE: Online purchases (website, auction format) do not account for core fees at time of the purchase due to the complexity of custom integration at time of checkout.

Shipping Lithium (primary and secondary) Batteries:

Due to the changing laws imposed by USDOT, this product classifies as HAZMAT, therefore we reserve the right to determine what shipping method and carrier to meet USDOT shipping requirements. Please contact us for more information at 1-800-515-2423. Depending on the aggregate lithium content per parcel, primary lithium may only be able to ship ground delivery. The lithium content per cell and total aggregate content per package will determine if this product can ship by Air or Ground. Packages that ship Air will be required to be labeled and can not be shipped aboard Passenger Aircraft which will in many cases slow the process of delivery.

When can you ship my order?

Processing time is about 24-48 business hours from the time an order is submitted, and each order can vary depending on the details of the order. Orders rarely, if ever, take more than 2 business days to leave our warehouse unless the item is on back order, has a substitution request, or is a special order item. Our customer service staff will attempt to contact you by phone and/or email when your order is on back order, substituted, or must be refunded due to stock fulfillment or shipping issues. Overnight, 2nd day, and 3rd day orders placed by 1PM PST / 4PM EST will leave our warehouse the same day if the item is in stock. Business days include Monday - Friday, excluding holidays.

What is a back order?

A back order is when a product is temporarily out of stock due to an unforeseen re-stock delay from the manufacturer, or sourcing delay, or issue from our vendor. Most back orders are temporarily suspended (2-5 business days) in processing for shipment. Our customer service staff will always notify you within 24-48 hours of back orders via email and/or by phone requesting your authorization to ship your order during some estimated time, or to substitute or cancel the order if the time delay is too lengthy.

What is a substitution?

A substitution is when the particular brand purchased is not in stock or available to ship immediately due to a back order or discontinued model number. Most substitutions are brand substitutions (for instance; Brand A is shipped in place of Brand B). Some substitutions are new packages or label designs on products other than what was advertised. Some substitutions involve requests to ship a higher capacity or comparably rated equivalent to what was purchased as an alternative substitution. Substitutions occur because of delays in manufacturer fulfillment of orders to our stocking warehouse, unexpected market conditions on raw materials in production, or overwhelming demand or "spike" in sales causing a temporary stock shortage.

What is a special order?

A special order is an order that requires a lead time generally due to an early-release date of a new product (i.e., new product release, presale item). Most special orders are products that are in the beginning stages of the distribution channel. Some special orders are "custom battery packs" that require time for assembly, taking anywhere from 1 week to several months. Some special orders are large volume orders requiring lead times of several months. These arrangements are almost always made in advance between the buyer and our sales department. The lead times will be clearly indicated on the request for quote (RFQ) and is based on the manufacture for the release of the finished goods to market.


Canada Shipments FAQ



1. I'm from Canada...Before I place an order, what should I know?

If you choose any carrier other than USPS you will incur additional charges due to 'importing', such as brokerage fees (UPS or FedEx) and duty & tax (Canada government).

2. Why does UPS Standard seem so economical?

UPS Standard Ground is an economical option for ground shipments to Canada. The key is to understand the 'over the border' charges you will incur. In some cases you can achieve an ideal shipping cost that satisfies your needs. In other cases it can cause your additional shipment costs to be 80% of the product value.

3. Should I ship Standard or Express?

Express shipments do not incur as many 'Brokerage' charges as Standard. The Express shipments have the fees worked into the shipping price. Keep in mind that heavy packages may work out best to be shipped 'Standard', yet lighter weight packages may be best shipped 'Expedite'.

4. Does it matter whether I ship to a commercial address or a residential address?

Yes. Commercial importers use a different chart for calculating fees than residential importers. Also, many commercial locations will use their own UPS accounts to eliminate confusion.

5. Should I be aware of my product value?

Yes, if you are a residential importer who is trying to stay within the incentive fee of $10 Customs charges. This requires that your product value be less than $200CAD.

No, if you are in need of your merchandise and if you are using the commercial customs chart. There is no magic number for imports when it comes to commercial importers.

6. Are these brokerage fees considered my shipping fee?

No. You will pay a shipping fee at time of purchase. Your product and shipping fee will be pre-paid. We will then prepare your shipment to leave our warehouse and be transported by UPS or FedEx. UPS or FedEx will handle customs clearance into Canada and will also collect the brokerage fees from you at time of delivery.

7. How long does it take to receive my package via UPS Standard?

Most Provinces can be served within 7 business days. The general calculation is 7-10 days. UPS or FedEx is traceable from the moment it leaves our warehouse, so tracking your package at UPS.com or FedEx.com will provide the most accurate information.

How are international orders shipped?

Depending on the carrier and service you selected at Checkout, your order with be shipped by USPS, FedEx or UPS. USPS shipment services such as First Class International Mail or Priority International Mail do not provide tracking. Customs numbers are not tracking numbers. Delivery times can range from several days to several weeks in most cases. Depending on a variety of reasons, some packages can even take months. These methods are widely used because of the affordability and non-customs duties imposed in comparison to other carriers. International shipments using UPS/FedEx International Economy can be an affordable alternative that provides tracking, unlike USPS. This method takes between 3 - 7 days for delivery in most cases. UPS/FedEx International Priority is also available and takes between 2 - 5 days for delivery in most cases and provides tracking.

What is your backorder policy?

A backorder occurs when an item that you ordered is not available in any of our warehouse locations. One of our customer service representatives will contact you within 24-48 business hours of your order via e-mail and/or by phone for any item that is on backorder. If you wish to contact customer service, you may do so at our toll free number 1-800-515-2423 to determine if the product is in stock prior to making your purchase. Backorders are generally temporary, with a 2-5 day delay, and can easily be adjusted with a substitution (comparable brand equivalent). If we do not receive a response from you either by phone or by email our policy is to refund your order within 3 business days.

Can I refuse a shipment?

We ask that you contact us by phone toll free at 1-800-515-2423 requesting a return authorization number. International customers may contact us by email at returns@batteriesinaflash.com. We do incur shipping charges on all shipments to our customers, (this includes "free shipping" coupon codes, auction style free shipping offers, etc.) This free shipping offer is an incurred shipping fee and will not be reimbursed and deducted from the original purchase price for any reason if the product is returned (and will be deducted from the original purchase price of the product(s) of your return in addition to any fees involved in the return). If there is an error on our part, shipping fees paid will be refunded or credited along with the cost of the item(s) purchased. If through no fault of BatteriesInAFlash.com™ the shipment is refused (or returned), shipping charges will not be credited and you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. (See Return Policy for more detailed policies)

How are shipping rates calculated?

Shipping rates are based on product weight, shipping location and method. Once an item is added to the cart, you may check the shipping cost on an item by clicking on "Estimate Shipping Costs" on the Shipping Cart Contents page. You will find the "Available Shipping Methods" below when you complete the fields for country, state, zip code. You can also check shipping costs on multiple items by changing (add/delete) contents in your shopping cart. The built-in shipping rate calculator will automatically adjust shipping methods and the rates accordingly.

How do I track my shipment?

You will be able to track your order once it ships from our warehouse. You can either click on "Order Status" under Website Tools on the right side of your screen, or log in to your account. Enter your email address and order number and click on "Continue." Once your order is displayed it will list the item(s) ordered, pricing, quantity, totals, customer service comments, tracking, delivery confirmation number, PRO #s, or custom label number(s). Under Shipment Method, the UPS, FedEx, or the USPS delivery confirmation number that was assigned to your order will be listed. NOTE: Delivery Confirmation numbers are not tracking numbers. A delivery confirmation number issued through the United States Postal Service will only confirm delivery. NOTE: USPS Customs labels are not tracking numbers. Customs labels are assigned for packages shipped outside the USA.

USPS delivery confirmation numbers are usually 27 digits long (94XX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX). Go to http://www.usps.com/welcome.htm and enter the delivery confirmation number in one of the fields provided, then click on "Track and Confirm." The delivery confirmation number will be displayed. If you need detailed information, click on "Details."

USPS customs label numbers are usually 13 digits long (LNXXXXXXXXXUS). In most cases these label numbers are not tracking numbers. They will, however, note when your order was "accepted" and picked up from where and what location. Go to http://www.usps.com/welcome.htm and enter the customs label number in one of the fields provided then click on "Track and Confirm." The customs label number will be displayed. If you need detailed information, click on "Details."

UPS tracking numbers are usually 18 digits long (1ZXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX ). Go to http://www.ups.com/tracking/tracking.html and enter the tracking number in one of the fields provided then click on "Track". The tracking number will be displayed. If you need detailed information, click on "Details".

FedEx Ground tracking numbers are usually 12 digits long ( 6XXXXXXXXXXX ). Go to http://www.fedex.com/ and enter the tracking number in the field provided and click on "Track It". The detailed results of the tracking number you entered will be displayed.

What is your Return Policy?

BatteriesInAFlash.com™ accepts returns within 7 days of receipt of delivery on most products with a sales receipt. However, there are some exclusions (i.e. solar panels, flooded lead acid, lithium-iron phosphate, and special orders in most cases are non-returnable). Please contact us for more details. Original shipping charges are not refunded on returned items unless there was an error on our part. Customers are responsible for all shipping charges back to BatteriesInAFlash.com™ on returned items unless there was an incorrect item(s) shipped by BatteriesInAFlash.com™. Shipment discrepancies or damaged merchandise must be reported within 3 days of receipt of delivery. Refunds are only issued in the same form of the payment used for purchase. For example, if the item was purchased with a credit card, a credit is issued to that same card.

Approved returns within 7 days from purchase date will be issued a Return Authorization (RA#) for exchange or refund. There is a 15% restocking fee for returned items for refunds. Exchanged items are not subject to a restocking fee, but are subject to shipping fees. Please call 1-800-515-2423 or 1-702-248-2423 for an RA number before sending any orders back to us. We do not accept returns without an RA number. We will make every effort to correct your order in a reasonable amount of processing time.

Note: Products that have Lithium Iron Phosphate which include K2, Tenergy, and Omni brands are non-refundable.

If it is determined that there is an error due to a listing, product description or cross reference error on our part, we will reimburse shipping fees for the return and ship a replacement part at our expense. A 15% restocking fee will apply for all non-defective returns or items purchased in error. No shipping fees are reimbursed. If you are returning a product under a Manufacturer's Warranty, please be aware that specific manufacturers have more restrictive return policies. Contact us toll free at 1-800-515-2423 for more information about these policies. All products returned must be 100% complete, contain ALL original boxes and packing materials, have original UPC codes on the products, contain all manuals, blank warranty cards and other accessories and documentation provided by the manufacturer.

Customer is responsible for shipping charges on returned items. All shipping costs for returned merchandise will be paid for by the shipper. No C.O.D. on shipments will be accepted. Only shipping costs for incorrect items delivered to the customer will be paid for by BatteriesInAFlash.com™. We will not refund the extra shipping cost of express delivery. We will only refund shipping cost if the item is returned by First Class Mail, US Priority Mail or UPS Ground Shipping. If items are returned by express delivery, refund will only cover up to minimal shipping charges (if applicable).

BatteriesInAFlash.com™ strongly recommends that you choose a carrier that offers confirmation of delivery. NOTE: We are not responsible for lost, stolen or otherwise damaged products that are returned BatteriesInAFlash.com™. If we recognize the package has been damaged, or the products being returned are missing or not our product, we will notify you within 24-48 hours of processing your return.

You MUST contact us first by phone toll free at 1-800-515-2423 for authorization to return the (unopened) battery product, and include a copy of the invoice along with a copy of our emailed reply for a return or exchange. Or you can complete the online Return Authorization Request Form.

Credit Card Fraud

We try very hard to work with law enforcement authorities to investigate and prosecute the fraudulent use of credit cards. Our credit card verification system automatically validates all addresses and security codes using VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. However, our company has additional measures of ensuring the safety of our customers by taking precautionary measures in identifying the cardholder prior to shipment. Our customer service and shipping representatives are especially trained in identifying inaccuracies in bill/ship to addresses, shipment methods and all aspects of complete order processing and fulfillment.

IMPORTANT:

Credit Card Authorization Forms will be required to be completed by the Authorized Signature Cardholder approving the order. For the safety of our customers, our customer service staff will request additional security measures such as (front/back of credit card, and identification) to be presented to us at our discretion to authorize a credit card payment. As a means of thoroughly processing credit card payments to be certain the cardholder is authorizing the purchase, all processed orders online that do not meet these criteria listed below will be subject to completing a Credit Card Authorization form and submitting necessary identification. The criteria is (but is not limited to) as follows:

1. Shipping address and billing address (do not match)
2. Cardholder names, addresses, phone numbers or emails (do not match)
3. Invalid shipping addresses, zip codes, phone numbers, email addresses (invalid data)
