I put one of these in my inexpensive Black & Decker drill. Not only did it give the drill more available power (I have to be careful not to lug it down, the motor smokes if I do), but it lasts much longer than the original NiCd batteries both under steady use and on the shelf. The original batteries went dead in 3 days even if not used; these are still strong after 3 weeks. I bought the first almost a year ago, a second one about 6 months ago, both are still going strong. Needless to say I recommend it!
